Introduction to Department

  • Kayachikitsa department in the Hospital refers to a specialised unit with an Ayurvedic medical facility focused on treating a wide range of physical and psychological ailments using Ayurvedic principles.
  • The department works at both OPD and IPD level by addressing the root cause of the disease considering the patient’s overall health, including their mental and emotional state, not just the symptoms.
  • This department trains UG Students, Interns and PG Scholars to expertise in clinical skills.

Mission

  • Kayachikitsa Department, a core branch of Ayurveda, is to provide holistic, patient-centred care that focuses on preventing, managing, and treating various diseases through the principles of Ayurveda.
  • The Department aims to restore balance to the body and mind by using traditional Ayurvedic treatments, such as Oral Medications, Dietary Modifications, Panchakarma (Detoxification Therapies) and Lifestyle Counselling.
  • Individual care of students to expertise in clinical knowledge and management.
