Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery
The BAMS programme at Sushrutha Ayurvedic Medical College is a 5½-year undergraduate course (4½ years of study + 1 year compulsory rotating internship) affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, and approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The curriculum integrates classical Ayurvedic knowledge from the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita with modern biomedical sciences, preparing graduates to practise as competent Ayurvedic physicians.

Eligibility Criteria
Admission Process
Register and appear for NEET-UG conducted by NTA. Secure a valid score in the BAMS merit list.
Register for Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) AYUSH counselling for government/management quota seats.
Submit 10th, 12th marksheets, NEET scorecard, transfer certificate, caste certificate (if applicable) and photos.
Accept allotted seat via KEA portal, pay institutional fees and complete RGUHS enrolment formalities.
Report to the college for biometric registration, library enrolment, hostel allotment and orientation week.

PG eligibility: Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) degree from a recognised institution, current registration as a medical practitioner with the State/Union Territory board, and a qualifying rank in the Postgraduate National Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
Admissions
BAMS Eligibility & Admission
Admission to the 5½-year BAMS programme (including one year of compulsory rotatory internship) is made through NEET in coordination with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
- Qualifying exam: PUC or 10+2 equivalent recognised by a State or Central board
- Marks: Minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together
- Reserved categories: 40% in PCB for SC / ST / OBC candidates (Karnataka and All India Quota)
- Age: Must have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission
- Entrance: Valid NEET score, admitted through KEA counselling
- Non-Karnataka candidates: Eligibility Certificate from RGUHS
- CBSE board candidates: Eligibility Certificate from RGUHS
- NRI candidates: Certificates from RGUHS, Ministry of Health, local police and the relevant foreign embassy
- International applicants: Foreign Eligibility Certificate as applicable
