To be a centre of excellence in Ayurvedic education, research, and clinical practice — nurturing competent Ayurveda professionals who integrate ancient wisdom with modern healthcare, serving society with compassion and scientific rigour.

Mission

  • To provide quality Ayurvedic education in accordance with NCISM and RGUHS curriculum, producing graduates who are competent in both classical Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge
  • To develop a state-of-the-art teaching hospital that delivers authentic Panchakarma therapies, Kayachikitsa treatments, and evidence-based Ayurvedic healthcare to the community
  • To promote research in Ayurveda — encouraging faculty and students to contribute original work to national and international journals
  • To foster an environment of continuous learning through CMEs, workshops, seminars, and interdepartmental integrated teaching programs
  • To inculcate ethical values, empathy, and social responsibility in students through NSS activities, community health camps, and rural outreach programs

About the Institution

Sushrutha Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was established in 2004 under the aegis of the Yadalam Trust, Bengaluru. The college is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka.

The institution offers a 5½-year B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery) undergraduate program with 100 sanctioned seats, along with Postgraduate (M.D./M.S.) programs in Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Dravyaguna Vijnana, Shalya Tantra, and Kaumarabhritya. The attached 150-bed teaching hospital provides OPD and IPD services across all 14 Ayurvedic speciality departments.
